Four Great Detox Foods

Great Detox Foods

Detoxing is an important part of achieving maximum wellness. It allows all of the toxins and other negative substances that people garner on a daily basis to be flushed from the body, allowing all of the bodily systems to re-balance themselves and for nutrients to flow freely through the body. A successful detox requires for appropriate foods and liquids to be placed into the body. There are four detox foods that will increase the speed of the toxin flush and ensure that a person is as healthy as possible in a short period of time.

Sea Vegetables

These foods are normally known as seaweeds. They are packed to the gills with antioxidants that will help prevent ageing brain problems, as well as nutrients that will stimulate and strengthen a person’s digestive tract. There is a substance known as algin in seaweed that will be able to absorb all of the toxins that are found in the digestive system. The process of this absorption is similar to to how, when water softener is added to hard water, all of the minerals are absorbed. By getting rid of all of the toxins in the digestive system, it will be able to function at a higher level and allow other substances that are harmful to the body to be removed on a shorter timeline. Seaweeds also have the highest, most diverse amount of minerals in a single serving. They are the same minerals that are found in human blood.

Flaxseed

Flaxseed is the primary detoxification food because it ensures that the toxins are removed from the body in the correct, most efficient manner. This seed can easily be added to water and consumed every day to optimize the digestive tract. The way that flaxseed works is by taking all of the toxins that are found in the intestines and binding them so that they are able to do no further harm. Then, the toxins are flushed from the system. Besides helping with detoxification, flaxseed is also an excellent source of Omega-3 oils, which promote brain health.

Garlic

Garlic is an essential component of any detoxification process because it helps get rid of the toxins that are formed by the body, also known as endogenous toxins. It has very powerful antiviral, antibiotic, and anti-septic properties that will help get rid of disease causing microbes. Because garlic has so much sulfur, it is also very effective with regards to getting rid of other toxins that are consumed.

Apples

This is not a particularly common detox food, but that’s only because its detox properties are not well-known. They are rich in fiber, which helps in the detox process, as well as phytochemicals, which help strengthen the digestive tract. A flavonoid known as Phlorizidin has been found to stimulate bile production. This increase in the amount of bile will help promote the liver’s ability to get rid of toxins. Eating organic apples is important because they are free of the additives that a detox is trying to get rid of.
